After spending 16 years in the corporate I.T. arena, my overwhelming passion for consumer electronics and in particular automation has led me to starting my own company.
In 1998, I Graduated from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) with a BSc (Bachelor of Information Technology with a secondary major in Electrical Engineering). I later complemented this degree with a MInfoSec. (Masters of IT: Information Security) in 2011.
I began my corporate career in the corporate banking sector in 1999 at Citigroup as an IT engineer and quickly became the senior project Manager for large complex relocation Projects. I joined Microsoft in 2008 as a Technical Account Manager. During this time, I accrued a few more qualifications, namely an MCSA, TOGAF, ITIL, MOF, and MCITS.
In the later years, I began to pursue my interests in automation and started DayaTech Aquarium Automation, where I specialised in designing and automating large residential and commercial aquariums. After leaving Microsoft in late 2015, we relocated from Sydney to tropical Cairns and relaunched DayaTech and continue to develop the company to be a Home Automation leader in Far North Queensland.
