Bernard has over 18 years of experience in high-tech and consulting industries and is renowned for his dedication to avant-garde technologies and advanced automation projects. He runs Okol Group Smart Integration, a NYC-based company specialized in Smart Home design for residential and SOHO clients. The company provides a wide range of home automation solutions including lighting, shades and HVAC control, enterprise-grade networking and Wi-Fi infrastructure, and security and home entertainment integration. Okol Group has dealership agreements with Lutron Electronics, Autonomic, Nest, Panasonic, and eero, and is also a certified Ubiquiti Networks training center for wireless and broadband administrators.
Bernard started his carrier in 1997 and held several positions at multinational companies in South America and the US, including Alcatel-Lucent, Andrade Gutierrez Telecom, and Nera Networks. Under his belt are more than 10,000 miles of wireless cellular networks deployed throughout Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. In 2003, Bernard joined (at the time) the newly created Advisory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in NY, advising more than 50 multinational companies in several facets of operational excellence, which includes business continuity & IT disaster recovery design and testing, revenue assurance, customer experience enhancement, customer care excellence, and smart/connected home service offerings. Bernard holds a BSc degree in Electronics Engineering and an MBA from Babson College. He is also equally fluent in four languages and lived in five countries.
